Out & About Travel is a full service, gay & lesbian, online travel agency specializing in gay & lesbian tours, cruises, adventure travel, gay ski trips, customized packages and more.
I started Out & About Travel back in 1999 out of my genuine love of travel and the desire to provide the gay & lesbian community with the many options available to them. We were one of the first online travel agencies specializing in LGBT travel and are considered “pioneers of the gay & lesbian travel industry.”
Throughout the years I have traveled to many popular gay & lesbian travel destinations throughout the world and have gained hands on knowledge of all the gay & lesbian hot spots!
Our web site, http://www.gaytravelpros.com literally has hundreds of travel options available for the gay & lesbian traveler.
One of the things that set our agency apart from others, besides the fact that I am absolutely passionate about what I do, is the fact that we are a small, independent company that does not charge a service fee. We do all the researchfree of charge AND it doesn’t cost a penny more to book through us! Unfortunately many people think it will cost extra if they book with a travel agent. This is not the case with us.
In 2010 I started Gay Travel Information. I was looking for a creative way I and my colleagues could share honest, respectful opinions of the many businesses and events we frequent.
What sets Gay Travel Information apart is that we don’t just focus on “the usual” LGBT owned bars, cafes and inns and we don’t just focus on businesses that list themselves as “LGBT friendly” because of an affixed rainbow sticker on the front of a window or flying rainbow flag outside their business.
Gay Travel Information spotlights the HIPPEST and HOTTEST spots that offer the best experience for EVERYONE in a warm, welcoming environment.
After all, most places these days will label themselves as LGBT friendly. We only spotlight businesses that offer a truly great product. Something we are proud to give our “stamp of approval” to based on factors such as ambiance, service, crowd and quality of product.
On May 2, 2013 Rhode Island became the 10th state in the nation (and last state in New England) to legalize gay marriage. The law goes into effect August 1, 2013.
(Me and my wife Jennifer married December 30, 2012 at Salem Cross Inn – West Brookfield, MA)
I started Rhode Island Gay Wedding. Com in July 2013 as a resource for LGBT couples in the Rhode Island / New England area looking to celebrate there big day here in “the ocean state” or one of our fellow New England neighbors.
My goal is to help the LGBT community plan their magical day while supporting each other and our allies. I want our clients / readers to truly feel welcomed at the travel destinations they visit, the hotels they stay at, the restaurants they eat at, the clubs they dance at, the events they attend and feel good about the companies they support.
